Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival

Today marks the opening of the 25th annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF) here in the Spa City! The HSDFF is the oldest non-fiction festival in North America and one of the biggest attractions of the year for Hot Springs. This is such a great festival that has brought nationwide interest to Hot Springs and we are once again looking forward to an outstanding lineup of documentary films.

Here are a few highlights of the festival that I think are worth mentioning…

There are some major names this year including Beau Bridges and Louis Gossett Jr. who are acting as Co-Chairs of the festival this year. Louis Gossett Jr. is having a Book Signing Event on Saturday, October 8th at the Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs.

Another notable name worth mentioning is Barry Bostwick of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time! Bostwick will be at a special screening event of the movie on Friday, October 14th at the Arlington Hotel. Earlier that day you can catch a preview from the upcoming documentary, The Rocky Horror Phenomenon, which examines the long lasting impact of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

If you haven’t made plans yet to visit Hot Springs for this amazing festival, it’s not too late! We still have a few rooms available and we are only a five minute drive from downtown Hot Springs where all of the action is taking place! Not to mention, it is shaping up to be a beautiful Fall here in Hot Springs so come on over and check out the Fall Foliage later this month!
