The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays by far! We spend lots of this holiday weekend with my family, that’s probably why I love it so much. My dad, aka the Green Egg Grill Master, takes care of our hungry bellies with all sorts of grilled Game and occasionally a vegetable even shows up on our plate! My oldest sister spends her time in the kitchen chopping and blending all sorts of delicious munchies. She never follows a recipe, just makes it up as she goes along and it’s always amazing. She will actually be innsitting for us while we go on a mini vacation in October. You’ll be in for a real culinary treat if you visit us when she’s in the kitchen!! Fourth of July holiday is also a nice time for Joanna and myself to take a little break from the kitchen and let others cook for us! (Ok, that’s the real reason why I love this holiday so much!)
There is a lot going on in this wonderful town of Hot Springs during a holiday weekend. From fireworks to concerts there is something for everyone. I particularly love the firework show on Lake Hamilton. It doesn’t hurt that mom and dad have a great view of it from their dock but you can enjoy it from a number of places along Highway 7. Magic Springs has two shows next weekend that are a part of the Magic Springs Concert series. You can catch TESLA on Friday, July 4th @ 8pm and on Saturday, July 5th @ 8pm, Chris Young is in town. I bet both of these shows will be great so click on the links to grab your tickets.
Now you know a few fun things going on next weekend so all you have to do is book your favorite suite with us at Hilltop Manor Bed & Breakfast! Come visit us at Hilltop Manor and enjoy our homemade, two course, plated hot breakfast. We will even bring it to you in your suite if you don’t feel like getting out of your robe! Or enjoy it on our covered front porch overlooking our luscious waterfall where you may even spot a hummingbird or two!
